Job Description

As a Senior Solutions Engineer for Global Alliances, you’ll be the technical bridge between DDN and its partners — designing, enabling, and delivering joint AI and data infrastructure solutions that scale globally.
You’ll collaborate with GSI, OEM, and hyperscaler teams to integrate DDN solutions (ExaScaler, Infinia, A³I) into modern AI, HPC, and enterprise pipelines — driving performance, scalability, and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect scalable AI/HPC solutions using DDN platforms across hybrid and cloud environments.
  • Enable partners (Accenture, HCL, Deloitte, Infosys, etc.) through labs, workshops, and certifications.
  • Promote DDN reference designs for AI Factory, Sovereign Cloud, and GPU data platforms.
  • Act as technical SME for alliance-led opportunities — supporting scoping, proposals, and PoCs.
  • Co-develop joint blueprints, benchmarks, and best-practice documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Partner Engineering to validate and promote integrated solutions (NVIDIA, AMD, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot complex data infrastructure challenges to ensure optimal GPU utilization and TCO reduction.
  • Represent DDN at partner summits, conferences, and technical forums.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or consulting within AI, HPC, or data infrastructure.
  • Experience collaborating with or within GSIs (Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in storage systems, parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS), and GPU-accelerated workloads.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA DGX, AMD Instinct, and major OEM ecosystems (HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Supermicro).
  • Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines and data management at scale.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Why DDN

  • Competitive pay with performance incentives.
  • Direct collaboration with global AI and cloud partners.
  • A culture focused on innovation, execution, and partner success.
  • Opportunity to impact AI infrastructure at Fortune 100 enterprises.

Success Metrics

  • Partner enablement (labs, workshops, certifications).
  • Growth in partner-sourced and influenced revenue.
  • Joint architectures and PoCs launched.
  • Documented customer outcomes (GPU utilization, TCO savings, AI performance).

DDN

DDN has a very strong orientation towards these 4 characteristics and any successful employee will demonstrate these capabilities:

Self-Starter - Takes independent action to identify and solve problems. Seeks out relevant information needed to make decisions. Gets involved with new initiatives.

Success/Achievement Orientation - Delivers quality results consistently. Targets, achieves (or exceeds) measurable results. Sets challenging goals, focuses on critical priorities, and is accountable.

Problem Solving - Recognizes problems and responds with a systematic assessment that identifies and addresses cause of issue. Practical, realistic, and resourceful.

Innovative - Builds and improves key business processes that enhance the effectiveness of DDN. Generates new ideas, challenges the status quo, and solves problems creatively.
