Job Description

About DDN Infinia

At DDN, our Infinia platform is redefining how enterprises manage, secure, and scale data-intensive AI and cloud workloads. We are building a next-generation data infrastructure that integrates extreme performance, advanced automation, and intelligent data services.

Position Overview

The Director of DevOps and Product Security will lead the organization responsible for driving operational excellence, scalability, and automation across the Infinia platform. This leader will define and execute the DevOps strategy that enables fast, reliable software delivery across on-premises and cloud environments, while ensuring that security and compliance are embedded into our development and deployment processes.

This role is ideal for a big-picture technical leader who can think strategically, diagnose underlying operational challenges, and implement lasting solutions that improve performance and reliability. The right candidate will have deep hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD automation — and a working understanding of security best practices within software environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a cross-functional team responsible for DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure automation for the Infinia platform.

  • Architect and evolve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and related automation frameworks.

  • Oversee deployment automation, monitoring, and observability across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Identify root causes of system inefficiencies and implement long-term, scalable solutions that improve uptime and performance.

  • Drive infrastructure-as-code, cost optimization, and scalability strategies to support large-scale enterprise and AI workloads.

  • Partner with development and product teams to integrate security-by-design principles into DevOps workflows.

  • Ensure platform reliability, performance, and compliance with key standards (SOC2, FedRAMP, ISO27001, NIST).

  • Foster a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.

  • Proven expertise with DevOps toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitOps, Terraform, Ansible).

  • Strong experience with public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and multi-cloud architecture.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze systemic issues and implement permanent, scalable fixes.

  • Strong background in CI/CD automation, observability, and infrastructure management.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering and product teams.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC2, or NIST.

  • Background in enterprise storage, distributed systems, or data infrastructure.

  • Hands-on experience integrating software security into DevOps pipelines.

  • Proven ability to build, scale, and mentor high-performing DevOps and SRE teams.

Join our dynamic and driven team, where engineering excellence is at the heart of everything we do. We seek individuals who love to challenge themselves and are fueled by curiosity. Here, you'll have the opportunity to work across various areas of the company, thanks to our flat organizational structure that encourages hands-on involvement and direct contributions to our mission. Additionally, we value strong communication skills in all our engineers and researchers, as they are crucial for the success of our teams and the company as a whole.

Interview Process: After submitting your application, one of our recruiters will review your resume. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 30-minute interview during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the interview, you will enter the main process, which can consist of up to four interviews in total:

  • Coding assessment: Often in a language of your choice.
