Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Staff Engineer for Infinia Storage engineering team who will design, build and deliver components of RED software storage solution:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate at the implementation of critical distributed storage and network components
  • Develop and optimize network stack components tailored for HPC environments, focusing on performance and scalability.
  • Implement support for high-speed interconnects like InfiniBand, Ethernet, or custom fabrics.
  • Drive design discussions, build prototypes and contribute to deliver high quality products
  • Conduct code reviews and improve scalability, stability, reliability and performance of RED solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions into broader systems.

 

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience years of software development experience with file systems, concurrency, multithreading, server architectures and distributed systems.
  • Experience in developing and debugging at system level C/C++, particularly for Linux/UNIX computing environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP) and HPC-specific interconnect technologies like InfiniBand or RoCE.
  • Experience in one or multiple of the following subjects:
  • Network programming such as OFED stack including: TCP, IB Verbs and Libfabric providers;
  • Knowledge of parallel file system solutions (Lustre, GPFS), NVM storage technology or distributed key-value storage systems are highly appreciated.
  • BS/MS/Ph.D in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent degree/experience.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high quality deliverables.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Interview Process: After submitting your application, one of our recruiters will review your resume. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 30-minute interview during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the interview, you will enter the main process, which can consist of up to four interviews in total:

 

  • Coding assessment: Often in a language of your choice.
  • Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service (depending on role).
  • Real-time problem-solving: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session.
  • Meet and greet with the wider team.
  • Our goal is to finish the main process in 2-3 weeks at most.
