Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Build Infrastructure

  • Design and implement scalable build systems for our storage platform
  • Create and maintain comprehensive SDK documentation and examples
  • Optimize build times and reduce artifact sizes
  • Implement effective dependency management solutions

Development

  • Develop and maintain core C/C++ libraries
  • Create build tooling and development utilities
  • Implement cross-platform compilation strategies
  • Design API/ABI compatibility layers

Integration

  • Integrate third-party libraries and manage dependencies
  • Create packaging and deployment solutions
  • Implement continuous integration pipelines
  • Design mechanisms for SDK distribution

Qualifications

Build System Expertise:

  • Strong experience with modern C++ build systems (CMake, Meson, SCons)
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing cross-platform build infrastructures
  • Experience with continuous integration systems and build automation
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining SDK deployment packages

Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of C/C++ development experience
  • Build system architecture and optimization
  • SDK development and API design
  • Cross-platform compilation and linking
  • Package management and dependency handling
  • Deep understanding of static and dynamic library management
  • Symbol visibility and versioning
  • Binary compatibility maintenance and platform-specific toolchains

System Knowledge:

  • Advanced Linux systems programming
  • Experience with low-level storage interfaces, block device management, file system implementations and hardware management protocols (IPMI, Redfish)

 

Additional Skills

  • Experience in creating developer tooling and SDK packages, managing ABI compatibility across releases, implementing modular build systems, and designing cross-platform compilation frameworks
  • Knowledge of storage system architectures, package management systems, binary interface design and performance optimization techniques

Interview Process: After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 30-minute interview (“phone interview”) during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the initial phone interview, you will enter the main process, which consists of four technical interviews:

  • Coding assessment in a language of your choice.
  • Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service.
  • Systems hands-on: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session.
  • Project deep-dive: Present your past exceptional work to a small audience.
  • Meet and greet with the wider team.
  • Our goal is to finish the main process within one week.
  • We don’t rely on recruiters for assessments.
  • Every application is reviewed by a member of our technical team.
