Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for focusing on expense analysis, the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement analysis, and financial reporting. He/she will be expected to utilize and apply his/her relevant accounting experience and knowledge to perform detailed work and analysis. This role will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the business, Oracle ERP accounting environment and monthly close process and reconciliations and have auditor interaction.

 

This position is remote but in the Pacific Time Zone.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete required supporting schedules, account reconciliations and journal entries related to the month end close in a timely manner
  • Responsible for various balance sheet accounts such as prepaids, accruals and corporate liabilities and other miscellaneous general ledger accounts
  • Assist in the development and ensure compliance with DDN’s accounting policies and procedures
  • Analyze expenses against budget and proper general ledger coding and accounting under U.S. GAAP
  • Provide deliverables for external auditors
  • Participate in various ad-hoc projects and analysis for management
  • Generate expense analysis reports for internal and/or external use

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business related degree
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Mix of public and private accounting experience highly preferred
  • CPA and Big 4 public accounting experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP required
  • Must be analytical and be able to identify issues and propose solutions
  • Must be detail oriented and have a high degree of accuracy on work output
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced multinational business environment

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft excel.
  • Experience with Oracle a plus
