Job Description

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform inspection of raw materials and finished goods to ensure that operations comply with Quality and Standard Operating Procedures. This includes Work-in-Process, Final Inspection, and receiving inspection of incoming materials if required.
  2. Assist Engineers in first article inspection as required.
  3. Responsible for identification and segregation of nonconforming material; generate Discrepant Material Report (DMR) for MRB process and report process/product variations that occur in operations.
  4. Responsible for assessing the adequacy of inspection, assembly, and test records documentation; fill out the proper documentation required and record the inspection results accordingly (Assembly Traveler, Inspection Record, ICAR, SCAR, Database, etc.).
  5. Perform data entry to inspection logs/QA databases, file shop-floor order, test checklists, and inspection records.
  6. Report status of inspection as required.

 

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Report on daily activities as required.
  2. Investigate Supplier Quality issues and Customer Complaints as required.
  3. Conduct self-inspection audits to ensure compliance with Quality Management System procedures.
  4. Support Process Improvement as well as maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  5. Accomplish quality and departmental missions and goals by completing daily work assignments effectively and achieving good attendance as required.
  6. Assist other inspectors to inspect workload based on priorities.
  7. Assist in tracking work completion as required by Manager.
  8. Communicate procedural gaps to Manager.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

  1. High-School diploma or equivalent. Other educational disciplines and industry experience will be considered.
  2. Basic knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  3. Familiarity with quality control procedures and systems is preferred.
  4. Ability to read general mechanical drawings (knowledgeable in GD&T is a plus).
  5. Can lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
  6. Candidates for this position should have strong time management and organizational skills, highly self-motivated with a proven ability to work successfully in a team environment and thrive in a multi-tasking and challenging environment, as well as an ethical and positive attitude.
  7. Must have the ability to work long hours as required (up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week), especially at every end of Quarter.
  8. Ability to operate inspection tools and precision instruments such as: Microscope, Caliper, Scale, etc.

Targeted pay rate is up to $26.00/hr
