Job Description

We are aggressively seeking a Software Engineer to join our L3 Sustaining organization. This position requires a strong individual who can work within a team in testing and addressing technical issues for our Intelliflash Enterprise Storage Products.

 

Job Duties:

  • Hands on assistance with field escalations from Customer Support, working with senior members of the team.
  • Work with other members of sustaining and engineering team to resolve technical issues in our NAS/SAN storage products.
  • Proactively review Jira tickets to understand the defects currently being fixed by product development team.
  • Pull in engineering development resources when additional technical expertise is needed
  • Internal lab reproduction of product issues to assist in problem isolation
  • Delivery, with review, of software/product changes and fixes
  • Participate in the ongoing development and sustaining of Customer Support infrastructure and tools
  • Participate in Software and Hardware releases to ensure service readiness, product usability, and case deflection by identifying product enhancements.
  • Provide technical expertise to developers/QA and the field engineers based on the workload.

 

Skills:

  • Good technical acumen to assist troubleshooting efforts for Field escalations. 
  • Storage array background (SMB, NFS, iSCSI, SAS, FC)
  • Good knowledge of integrating AD/LDAP in both SMB and NFS environment
  • General knowledge of general OS, Files System, SAN/NAS protocols, Storage hardware, NVME, SAS, etc. and related commands.
  • Linux/Solaris Internals (FMA, SMF, MDB and GDB debugging), core dump analysis is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Java/Shell scripting (bash, python etc)
  • Programming knowledge to understand the program logic in the source code and help finding a fix for product issues.
  • Knowledge of Wireshark or Perf Tools and data analysis a plus
  • Good knowledge of software development and its practices and processes. Individual will be expected to both diagnosis software problems as well as deliver changes necessary to address customer problems and issues.
  • Strong communication skills (Verbal and Written); must be able to deal positively and professionally.

Experience and Education

  • 7+ years’ work within a professional engineering environment
  • BSCS or equivalent technical degree

Interview Process:

 

After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 30-minute interview (“phone interview”) during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the initial phone interview, you will enter the main process, which consists of four technical interviews:

 

  • Coding assessment in a language of your choice.
  • Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service.
  • Systems hands-on: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session.
  • Project deep-dive: Present your past exceptional work to a small audience.
  • Meet and greet with the wider team.
  • Our goal is to finish the main process within one week.
  • We don’t rely on recruiters for assessments.
  • Every application is reviewed by a member of our technical team.
