Job Description

As the Vice President of Software Engineering for Full Stack AI System Integration at DDN Storage, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of end-to-end AI storage solutions that seamlessly integrate with the broader AI ecosystem. You will drive the technical vision and strategy for DDN Storage's AI integration efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize storage architectures that enable customers to realize the full potential of their AI investments. As a hands-on technical leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI infrastructure and ensuring that DDN Storage remains at the forefront of innovation in this rapidly evolving space.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for DDN Storage's full stack AI system integration efforts, ensuring alignment with the company's overall product strategy and market opportunities.
  • Lead a highly skilled team of engineers and architects in the design, development, and delivery of end-to-end AI storage solutions that integrate seamlessly with key AI frameworks, platforms, and tools.
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to identify and prioritize AI integration opportunities, and develop compelling value propositions and technical solutions that address customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Establish and maintain deep technical partnerships with leading AI hardware and software vendors, working closely with their engineering teams to optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of integrated solutions.
  • Drive the development and implementation of best practices and methodologies for AI system integration, including performance benchmarking, compatibility testing, and interoperability validation.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams involved in the end-to-end AI solution lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and post-sales support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the AI and storage industries, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in DDN Storage's AI integration efforts.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and track key metrics and KPIs related to AI system integration, and provide regular updates and insights to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in the AI, storage, or high-performance computing industry.
  • Deep technical expertise in AI infrastructure, including storage systems, compute platforms, networking technologies, and software frameworks and tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale high-performing engineering teams, with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and driving a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and drive creative solutions that deliver business value.
  • Strong experience in developing and executing technical strategies and roadmaps, with a deep understanding of industry trends and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of driving successful AI system integration efforts, with a focus on delivering high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
