Senior Product Manager (Tintri By DDN, Inc. – Chatsworth, CA)
Job Duties: Responsible for setting the long-term vision and strategy for compelling and differentiated software defined storage services, and for defining a concrete and complete set of metrics for upcoming releases to support engineering, managing the roadmap and prioritizing feature requests and managing trade-offs. Responsible for maintaining product requirements documentation set and interacting regularly with engineering in discussing and refining elements. Responsible for fostering an active customer/partner ecosystem to support engagement and feedback and creating field-ready product data and assisting marketing with a sound basis for new materials/whitepapers/datasheets. Liaises with 3rd Party companies to gain qualification and certification of DDN products against other products. Creates word documents and PowerPoint decks and uses excel spreadsheets for the purposes of 3rd party interactions, for conferences, for training, for customer presentations. Delivers regular technical training to sales and field personnel. Performs live and recorded demonstrations of DDN technology to customers and internal personnel. Creates pricing strategy for products and manages and create End-Of-Life for DDN products. Manages benchmarking processes to gain leading technical evidence for marketing use.
Requires a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in engineering, physics, mathematics or a related field, and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineering role with computer storage and/or networking. 5 years of stated experience must include: product management of an enterprise storage product with with unified capabilities (NFS, SMB, ISCSI and FC protocols.) Stated experience must include: presenting live to CxO level customer audiences; Linux administration experience with forecast and allocation for pre-and postproduction volumes; utilizing Atlassian Confluence and Jira to organize documents, requirements and tickets; setup and use of VMware products; Powerpoint and Word, creating diagrams, graphs, tables, images; creating and delivering training to internal and customer technical audiences; traditional enterprise virtualization environments, on-prem and public cloud as well as microservices/docker environments; and software development in cloud storage technologies, such as Amazon EBS, Google Persistent Disk, Microsoft Azure cloud storage.
We are offering a salary range of $205,733 to $210,000 per year, depending on qualifications. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as selected candidate's experience.
