    Overall Position Summary:

    The Senior Accountant is responsible for the monthly general ledger close, balance sheet and income statement analysis, and financial reporting. He/she will be expected to utilize and apply his/her relevant accounting experience and knowledge to perform detailed work and analysis. This role will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the business, Oracle ERP accounting environment and monthly close process and reconciliations and have auditor interaction.


    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Review or complete required supporting schedules, account reconciliations and journal entries related to the month end close in a timely manner;
    • Responsible for various accruals and corporate liabilities and other miscellaneous general ledger accounts;
    • Assist in the development and ensure compliance with DDN’s accounting policies and procedures;
    • Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements and prepare footnote support for reporting requirements,
    • Provide deliverables for external auditors;
    • Participate in various ad-hoc projects and analysis for management
    • Assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy.
    • Assist in the implementation of new US GAAP standards, including process for reporting related area.
    • Assist with performing technical accounting research to ensure compliance with US GAAP
    • Generate revenue reports for internal and/or external use.
    • Assist in reviewing, tracking and maintaining billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
    • Mix of public and private accounting experience preferred
    • CPA and Big 4 public accounting experience a plus
    • Strong understanding of US GAAP required
    • Must be analytical and be able to identify issues and propose solutions
    • Must be detail oriented and have a high degree of accuracy on work output
    • Strong communication skills required
    • Ability to multi-task in fast paced multinational business environment

     Other Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft excel. 
    • Experience with Oracle a plus
