1.Perform inspection to incoming materials.
2.Assists Engineers in first article inspection as required.
3.Responsible for identification and segregation of nonconforming material; generating Discrepant Material Report (DMR) for MRB process and reporting process/product variations that occur in operations.
4.Responsible for assessing the adequacy of inspection, assembly and test records documentation; Fill out the proper documentation required and record the inspection results accordingly (Assembly Traveler, Inspection Record, CAR, SCAR, Database etc.).
5.Perform data entry to inspection logs/QA databases, file shop-floor order, test checklists, and inspection records.
6.Reports status of inspection as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assists cross-functional team when necessary. This includes Final inspection of finished goods and Work-in-Process as required.
2.Reports on daily activities as required.
3.Investigate Supplier Quality issues and Customer Complaints as required.
4.Conducts self-inspection audits to ensure compliance with Quality Management System procedures.
5.Supports Process Improvement as well as maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
6.Accomplishes quality and departmental missions and goals by completing daily work assignments effectively and achieving good attendance as required.
7.Assists other inspectors to inspect workload based on priorities.
8.Assists in tracking work completion as required by Manager.
9.Communicates procedural gaps to Manager.
Qualifications for this role are:
Education: A High-School diploma or higher is preferred. Other educational disciplines and industry experience will be considered.
Experience: Good working knowledge of IPC-610 standard and basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Skills and Abilities:
1.Must understand and be able to apply basic inspection and testing techniques, including various types of sampling plans;
2.Must understand and be able to apply various quality audit types and their components, tools, and techniques.
3.Candidates for this position should have strong time management and organizational skills, highly self-motivated with a proven ability to work successfully in a team environment and thrive in a multi-tasking and challenging environment, as well as an ethical and positive attitude.
4.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Windows Explorer.
5.Ability to understand BOM structures and read blueprints and designs to identify conformity or deviation from desired specifications and document results.
6.Must be able to identify errors and deficient components, make recommendations, and report on compliance.
7.Good working knowledge of IPC-610 standard, good interpretation of engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
8.Must have the ability to train, coach and coordinate with other inspectors as required.
9.Must possess excellent communication skills to adequately communicate with departments within the plant.
10.Must have the ability to work long hours as required (up to 12 hour/day and 7 day/week), especially at every end of Quarter.
11.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. object and operate inspection tools and precision instruments such as: Microscope, Caliper, Angle Measure, Micrometer, Pull tester, Scale, etc.
