    We are currently seeking a Director, Supply Chain


    The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for the global planning and sourcing of products and services for DDN.  This includes leading strategic planning initiatives for all products to insure continuity of supply, sourcing initiatives that drive cost and process improvement, and partner-focused oversight of our EMS/distribution/fulfillment vendors to insure supply integrity will align with customer demand requirements.



    Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Own order fulfilment planning and material scheduling.
    • Establish, implement and/or improve upon the purchasing standards, controls, policies and procedures.
    • Manage supply chain operations, including execution of contractual requirements with suppliers.
    • Responsible for on time delivery, unit fill rate, cost saving, inventory accuracy/control – both on-going management and reporting
    • Provide strategic leadership in optimizing demand forecasting, supplier management and supply chain.
    • Manage Supply Planning in streamlining demand forecasting, historical trending and optimizing finished goods inventory.
    • Direct the forecasting of service parts demand, acquisition requirements and repair volumes
    • Drive the S&OP process and inventory/delivery trade offs
    • Develop What-if / scenario planning and decision-making strategies
    • Analyze sales forecasts, history, and inventory to develop supply capacity plans.
    • Day to Day Materials Management – manage material supply and demand including demand loading, MRP functionality, and production planning
    • Identify and resolve supply issues and provide regular updates to senior management.
    • Responsible for all new product launches for item set up to order fulfillment.
    • Optimize order quantities to drive savings in freight, warehouse, and carrying costs.
    • Manage ERP system to ensure data accuracy.
    • Drive supply chain efficiencies in support of continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Proactively report on out-of-stock and at risk times.
    • Lead team, encouraging employee skill development and professional growth.
    • Place POs as a backup to your team.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • End-to end supply chain operations with good analytical, team building and problem solving skills.
    • Expertise in business planning, demand supply management, forecasting, process improvement and system implementation.
    • Demonstrated success in improving fill rates and inventory/cost reduction.
    • Experience using MRP or other planning optimization tools. Oracle E-Business Suite and Agile PLM is a plus.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills required.
    • EMS/ODM/OEM experience is a plus.
    • Experience implementing/managing global supply chain with third party manufacturers and distributors.
    • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent education and experience.
    • 5+ years’ experience in a Supply Chain related field
    • This position is resident in or Chatsworth CA facility and will need to be on-site.
